capacity building

We provide training and resources to early-career scientists, and community volunteers in herpetofaunal identification, monitoring, rescue, and rehabilitation techniques. Workshops, internships, and field-based learning programs in schools help build a skilled network of conservation practitioners. Additionally, we assist local community groups in project management skills to enhance their long-term impact. Capacity-building efforts also include the provision of tools, technology, and access to scientific data. Through partnerships with academic institutions, we promote research opportunities and knowledge exchange. Our aim is to create a knowledgeable, equipped, and motivated conservation workforce dedicated to protecting herpetofauna in Cameroon at large and along Bamenda highlands in particular.
